KDM and XDM are both Display Managers (DM). I don't know exactly what they
do, but I do know that using KDM instead of XDM, gives you a nicer
X-loginscreen if your default runlevel is set to 5 (in which X is running).
Otherwise I haven't noticed any differences. Anyone?
