I reckon that 56700 is a typo for 57600. With standard serial devices
(16450, 16550 and clones) the port speed is obtained by dividing the
maximum speed (115200) by some integer. Also, older linux systems have a
maximum application speed setting of 38400, which can be adjusted with
setserial to spd_normal(38.4), spd_hi (57.6) or spd_vhi (115.2), so you
might need to tinker with that. Most modems do fine at spd_vhi, no
matter what speed they actually connect at.
