"ps -aux" (exact syntax varies a bit by version of ps) will list all
processes running and the userid for each. To find telnets, I look for bash
processes and see what users are running them (e.g., with "ps -aux | grep
bash"). Depending on your setup, you may have to look for other shells as
well. For "etc." ... well, it varies by service, with the basic idea being
to find the processes associated with the service.
To disconnect a telnet, you can kill the relevant bash process and that will
usually do it. Better is to match it up to its in.telnetd (or in.rlogind or
whatever) process and kill the actual telnet, but I don't know an easy way
to do that.
