Run EZ.exe from the EZ-Drive diskette that came with your hard disk. There
is a tool in there to remove EZ-Drive from the hard disk. Make sure your
motherboard is capable of handling large drives before doing this, or you
wont be able to read past 512 Megs of the drive.
Also, if your hard drive is going <click> <click> <click> when you are
trying to format it, or when it trys to read/write on the drive, you'll have
to either get it exchanged from the place of purchase, or RMA it with the
manufacturer.

Subject: uninstalling ezdrive
can anyone tell me how to uninstall ezdrive?
my brother, being the idiot that he is, installed
ezdrive on a seagate hard disk that has linux in it.
i have tried to erase ezd via low level format, fdisk /mbr,
and linux fdisk but none of them worked. also, the hard
disk makes weird clunking noises now when i try to mount it.
following are the errors:
hda: [ EZD ][remap 0->1] [525/64/63] hda1 hda2 < hda5hda: irq timeout:
status 0xd0 {Busy}
ide0: reset timed-out, status=0xd0
hda:status timedout,status=0xd0
end_request: i/o error, dev 03:06, sector 0
hda: drive not ready for command
attempt to access beyond end of device
03:02: rw=0, want=2, limit=1
ext2-fs: unable to read superblock
kernel panic: vfs: unable to mount fs on 3:02
thanks for any help.
