You have the kernel 2.0.33 with the RedHat 5.1 . I think that this
kernel does not reconize fat32. You should upgrade your kernel to 2.0.34 (or higher) to
make it work.
Another possibility is that you didn't compile the FAT32 filesystem (vfat) in your
kernel
