Sometimes when I run a program, ie. man I get a meassage about codepage
850 not existing. A more specific example is
smbpasswd
load_client_codepage: filename /etc/codepages/codepage.850 does not
exist.
This never seems to stop the program (be it man or smbpasswd) from
running properly(??)
I remembered seeing something on codepages when I compiled the kernel
and on further inspection there's a section on codepages under
filesystems in make menuconfig. I enabled codepage 850 and recompiled
but it hasn't made any difference. Am I missing something?? (Obviously
I am :-))
Are these the same as those used in dos (mode con: et al) to set up
languages etc? Can you point me in the right direction of any info
(man pages etc)?
