thanks for the response
i am not sure what the card is, the pc card powers and controls the
drive,
my machine beeps one high and one low when i insert the card (indicating
it detects it but does not configure it?)
is there a command to print all devices detected?
i'm guessing it's ide, how do I know which /dev/hd* ?
