I'd been operating under the conventional wisdom that the only virus out for Linux was bliss and it was extinct. However, while belatedly learning system management tools, I ran rpm -Va to check my installed packages. There were quite a few that flunked the md5 checksum, although that might just have been due to post-install tinkering. Now I'm assuming one foot in paranoia is good security. I tried doing web searches with key words "Linux" and "virus" but the few pointers to sources of virus scan software gave me a BUGTRAQ post with an expired link and McAfee's site, where I couldn't find anything for Linux. Which brings me to the point where I ask the nice, kind people on the mailing list to toss some nuts and bolts :^> Advise, please?
