First of all I would like to thank you all for the spirit of this list,
which I enjoy by. I'm a reader of the list for about two months, what (as
well as reading of documentation) allowed me to install and configure Linux
and X on my PC without asking questions (not without troubles, though).
I got a problem now the solution of which I can not find in the docs. I
beleive you will help me by advise or by pointing to the appropriate
documentation. The problem is: several minutes after start the X server
suddenly switches off with the next words:
Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting
.......
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
(this line goes 4 or 5 times - L.D-B)
.......
xinit: connection to X server lost.
The configuration is: Intel 486SX, 8Mb+20Mb swap, Hercules monochrom,
Slackware-3.6, kernel 2.0.35. The X server is ..._mono.
