just buy the biggest harddrive you can afford, i have drives by
Quantum, Seagate and Maxtor, Quantum ones are quite noisy when reading/writing
data, the maxtor one works fine and the quantum ones make funny noises when
they power up (bnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeee chhhhhuuurnnnn). I've got one
ancient 200Mb Seagate that goes 'Klunk' when the heads park! (that kind of
bothered me first time it happened... 'aargh had it 10 minutes and the
heads have crashed!').
