Dear list subscribers! Would you care to help Linux/UNIX dumb newbie with two questions: 1) When I try to install Red Hat 5.2 on my home PC with Pioneer DR-A24X CD-ROM, the install program asks me from which disk I want to install Linux, and when I tell to install from CD, it says "initializing CD-ROM" and then locks the computer... And CD drive doesn't even make a sound or a twitch... This is strange, cos when loading that install program from a floppy (my MB doesn't allow me to boot from a CD), I get a message, like "CD-ROM found: Pioneer DR-A24X". My CD is ATAPI IDE, connected to MB's IDE controller as primary/slave 2) What would it require to configure my Vodoo2 under Linux (that is, if I finally install it... and i was so eagar to try it out... :-< ) P.S. sorry for horrible english, it's my second lang... == At last! My greatest work is completed! _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
