Hello.
I am trying to install an iomega zip drive, which uses an Adaptec AVA 1502
scsi accelerator. I'm running Slackware 96, with kernel 2.0.0.
I have gleaned from various Howtos and readmes that I need to load the
appropriate modules. Therefore, I have uncommented these two lines in
/etc/rc.d/rc.modules:
/sbin/modprobe aha152x
/sbin/modprobe scsi-mod
(I am told that the aha152x module will work with adaptec AVA 1505/1515,
so I am crossing my fingers that it will work also with 1502).
Is this correct? Is there anything more I need to do? What devices will
the accelerator card and zip drive be listed as, and how do I know whether
they're working?
