ax25 utils for Redhat 5.1

Okay, I just want to throw this out to see if anyone has a simple suggestion
before I start all over again with a different distribution....

The ax25 utility packages that I have found so far are not compatible with
my Redhat 5.1.....   does anyone know of where I can get the recent package
that is compatible with RH and that can be installed fairly easily?
I don't care if it has to be compiled, but rpm would be nice :)
