Linux/Win98 Sharing the Same NS Mail?

I have Win98/Linux on a dual boot is there anyway I can keep my mail
file on Netscape 4.5 consistent between the two version (Win and
Linux).  Basically share the mail files?  They use different structures
in keeping mail.  This is a POP mail box, so IMAP wouldn't help.  Or do
you know anyone giving away free IMAP mailboxes?
