Firstly, i cant realy see why only 16M is getting reconcnised, are you sure
this is not a bios problem,?.
Secondly, you could install lilo on a floppy, along with any new kernel you
make, so what i mean is do your normal steps with make config/dep/ but use
zImage for the kernel, then edit your lilo.conf and replace;
boot = /dev/hdx # Where x is your drive letter.
with
boot = /dev/fd0
cp ./linux/arch/i386/boot/zImage to whereever its resting place is, possably
"/" or /boot, call it what you want, make a new entry in /etc/lilo.conf for
it, and run lilo, it will then install itself on a floppy for you.
You can also use an append command in lilo.conf for you memory.
