My apologies for the earlier post. I am very new to Linux and have a question that is probably very easy. I have created a user account and and am running afterstep in X. Logged on as this account running almost any app the first sound event that occurs causes the app to close. Logged on as root I do not have this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
