Good morning,

I finally got around to installing X, and I must say XF86Setup made it a
good deal easier than I expected. However, I'm having trouble with my
mouse. In normal console mode, it works with gpm without any problems to
speak of. But in X, the behavior is erratic: It'll move normally for a
few seconds, then stop, then either continue to follow my movements, or
jump to the upper-right-hand corner of the screen, and sometimes click
(without me pushing a button), or maybe continue following my movements
again. I'm using twm, with the Mach64 server, 800X600, 16bpp. I specified
it as a standard ps2 mouse in XF86Setup, and have tried selecting both
/dev/mouse and /dev/psaux. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I seem to be having trouble exiting X correctly. I choose "Exit,"
and the title bars of my windows disappear, but the windows themselves
don't. They then will close by typing "Exit" into them, but to actually
close down the X server, I'm having to use Ctrl+Alt+backspace. Thanks very
much for any help you can provide on either of these questions.

(Oh, yeah...I'm using slackware 3.5, zipslack version).
