Dial Up BBS

I friend of mine wants to get the `feel' of Linux before he drops
windows/dos.  I thought about having a dail up bbs type thing, I could
just turn my modem volume/phone ringer off and he can call up and play
with it anytime. I was wondering if anyone has any, or knows of any,
webpages out there telling how to go about setting this up? I should be
getting RH5.2 shortly.
