Subject: Cryptic message to root

Hello dear mentors,

Here is a new problem that has cropped up on the server I try to keep
under
control. I am receiving the root mail and things have been going along
pretty smoothly (well, most of the time). Suddenly I am getting this
message mailed to me every day:

15 Mar 14:37:55 ntpdate[535]: adjust time server 140.142.16.34 offset
 -0.117209 sec

I know that we have a program loaded, ntpdate, that synchronizes our
server's clock to some other server clock out there in cyberspace. But,
I'm
not sure what this message is telling me. Do I need to make an
adjustment?
How would I go about that. I have no idea where the docs for ntpdate are.

Any suggestions are muchly appreciated!

 -Ken Russell
