I just finished installing Mandrake 5.3. It's identical to RedHat 5.2, but it
includes all Redhat updates from February. However, the login screen displays a
bright, colorful penguin. Since this is starting to annoy me, I want to get rid
of it.
I remember a post here a few weeks ago about /etc/issue. Mandrake is recreating
the issue file with every boot up. Does anyone know where the real issue file
is so that I can edit it?
One other minor item I am interested in, is how to "colorize" the bootup
sequence the way that SuSE does it.
