I need to write out a disaster recovery plan for a Linux Fileserver running Redhat 5.2. It has a SCSI Travan 4 gig tape drive and a 2 gig hard disk. Would I simply be able to tar the contents of the hard disk to the tape, then to restore in the event of a hard disk crash, reinstall Redhat and then restore from the tape drive? Is it that easy?
