Hey! Did you hear what Tim Moore was saying on Mar 19 ?
TM> It's the different sources e.g. Redhat or Slackware or Sus or what
TM>
TM> Which does what? Should I stay with Red Hat or go Sus or
TM> ....................
TM>
TM> As I'm just starting a good decision earlier seems neat.
If you like things centered around a GUI and have lots of
"wizards" and "configurators" to set things up for you and don't mind
a fair amount of "doing-it-their-way-and-not-your-own-way" then choose
RedHat.
If on the other hand, you prefer the console and you really like
getting your hands dirty tweaking things. Then the way to go is
Slackware. (BTW, Slackware has a GUI also)
For me there is only one choice...SlackWare!
***My apologies to any RedHat fan if you feel offended. I don't think
RedHat is any better or worse than Slackware, but my personal preference
is for Slackware.
Have A Great Day!!
