Hmmm, sounds like you did not read any man pages. A !VERY! bad idea
with pgp.
PGP is no toy. Get some info on public key encryption before using it.
Read the man pages and have a look at e.g. www.pgpi.org. Especially
!DO NOT! send any key info to keyservers until you know what you're
doing.
If you want to sign a message you first need to create your own
keypair.
Since you're using pgp 5.0 the right command is pgpk -g not pgp -k
that's pgp 2.X.X syntax.
!But! read docu first! Rilly! Rilly! Rilly! ;-)
There is a pgp mailing list with tons of posts from people who send
public keys to keyservers and then forgot their passphrase.
Now that should be enough...
