Many thanks Ray,     now for my more focused question:-   I'm running RH4.1
at the moment which I've only had fully installed 2 days.  I'm not sure how
to go about it, but I want to run a really basic (=simple) spreadsheet.  
Is there one on the CD? Or do I down load from somewhere?    

Please, any answers have to be VERY simple so an idiot like me can follow
them.  I'm not familiar with Unix or C  so assime a single digit IQ!
