Hello, again, list! I'm wondering where I change the setting on my ftp
server as far as timeouts go. I need to be able to receive some pretty big
files from time to time and my server has been timing out. In
/var/log/messages I'm reading:

User xxxx timed out after 900 seconds at [insert date here]

Is there a way I can change this? Some of these files are 300 meg in size
and the people who are sending this file do not have the greatest
connection.

Thanks,
Scott

PS
Just an aside. I work for a statistical software company and it's easy to
come up with your own wacky tests. I've been timing the how long it takes
for me to get an answer (throwing out all questions that never got a
response). The average right now is 5 hours 43 minutes. That's only
because of a couple of questions that took a while to answer. If we throw
out those two the average DROPS to 1 hour 20 minutes. Many of my samples
are actually recorded in minutes.
Not bad for free tech support.
