I'm having some trouble setting up an inet connection on my RedHat 5x,
maybe somebody can help me here.
I have to somehow execute my ISP's dial-up script, but I couldn't find this
option anywhere. I tried control panel and linuxconf with no success.
Some people told me to use KDE's kppp. Well, the options on the scripting
tab on Kppp are kind of limited. It connects to the server alright,
recognizes de ID and password, but I couldn't figure out how to tell it to
get my (dynamic) IP address (windows' script would remotely "set ipaddr
getip"). Then I'm stuck.
Sorry my bad english and the cross-posting, and if I wasn't clear, well..
thanks for reading anyways. - Val
