I am currently using an Intel Pentium 133. And unfortunately, it seems
you're right :(
Just in case anyone else is interested in upgrading their classic Pentium on
an old motherboard, I'll summarize. The fastest CPUs available for the board
mentioned above from the different manufacturers seem to be:
1. Intel Pentium 200 (pre MMX)
2. AMD-K5-PR166. K6 and anything more recent don't fit the voltage specs
3. Cyrix 6x86-PR166+. 6x86L and anything more recent don't fit the voltage
specs
4. IDT WinChip 2 (3D) 266
The IDT would run at 66x4, the WinChip interprets 1.5x as 4x (thanks Andy!
Would have completely missed that one otherwise...) Guess I'll reconsider
the IDT chip then, since it has both MMX and 3DNow...
Many thanks to all!
