Thanks for the correction, i now run slackware again 3.6 to be exacht,
it installs modutils-2.1.121 and works with BOTH 2.0.36/7 and 2.2.4
There might be some small details which might not work as they should,
however on my system it works like a charm.
That must be a "one up for slackware then".
All i am saying is it works for me.
It might not work for you tho'.
I do agree that modultils 2.0.0 will not work with 2.2.x kernels thats a
fact.
