Hello All,
I have a server here that I use as a public ftp server with over 50,000 files on it.
Y'know, things like windoze, DOS, unix, linux, os/2, games etc..
It runs under NT, but I'm looking for a linux package that I can integrate with my web
server.
I need a search engine that enables visitors to my linux server to locate files by
keyword
etc.. Preferrably something that will generate a html results page, and published under
the GNU licence or freeware.
I'm not fussed it it's perl, cgi or java, but javascript may be a little slow
searching a
data base with so many entries.
Does anyone have one, know of where I can find one, or (dare I ask), want to write one?
oh, btw: I'd like to include descriptions, filename, size and file date. Downloads too
would be great but not essential. The package needs to have a means of importing
entries
without the need to type every single entry in manually.
