You are getting an IP address from the name, so your nameserver is
working, which means that at least some packets are getting through. Or
is www.tm.net.my in /etc/hosts?

Is the only symptom that you cannot ping anywhere except 127.0.0.1? If
so, then it may be that your ISP is firewalling ICMP for some reason best
known to itself.
