Quite right -- Debian does it differently. Checked my Debian CD and found
that the linux-utils package on it is smaller than what thoes of us who use
other distributions are used to. A lot of what, for us, is in linux-utils is
in a Debian package called kiss. The floppy stuff is in its own package and
does NOT include fdformat.
Still, if you want it, I imagine that a copy downloaded from sunsite will work.
