Okay, so I'm new here. Short on patience, short on time and short
on brains.
Trying to install Red Hat on my Compaq Contura 420C laptop (12Mb,
420Mb). Got the boot and supp disks, but when I try to boot to the boot
disk, I get this lovely message:
Loading initrd.img....Boot failed
The floppy drive is fine, 'cause I can boot to a DOS diskette.
The boot disk is fine, 'cause it works in another computer.
Experience tells me that I'm either missing some crucial step or
that I'm just plain bone stupid.
Anyone? You in the back...?
