I heard that it is possible to display a graphical (i.e., .gif or .jpg)
logo when you turn on your Linux box, during the kernel initialization
process, through LILO or something. Kinda like Windows 95 does with it's
thing until it goes into the GUI.
I want the computer to do that, and remove the graphical logo when it's
time for the login: prompt to come up. Can someone tell me how to do
this?
