Yep, it's due to the configuration of the webserver.  I had that 
problem once myself.  The answer is in the Apache documentation 
and I can't remember exactly which script needes to be edited. The 
simple and quick solution is to rename the files so that they have a 
.html extention until the configuration is changed.
