Hi,

this problem bothers me a lot. When I try to install new package
or upgrade old ones, it always check dependent library first and then stop
to tell me there is something missing. Actually, I have those "missing"
stuff there. So I go back to compile by myself with source file. I've done
that to upgrade gtk+1.2.1 for example.

Now, I am trying to install gnome1.0. there are a lot of rpm requirements
before installation. And I do not want to compile them one by one.

I guess rpm checkes requirments from certain database. How can I upgrade
that info?

Thank you for your help.
