I happened to check the logs and found something I could not understand in
secure log:

My system: redhat 5.2, kernel 2.2.5, updates installed, ppp connection,
stand alone workstation.
Should I install fire-wall? how? I remember I tried xchat this week. (btw,
if you know a good irc server for linux user, let me know.)
