It's GREAT!, but pay attention to the installation dialogs.
On startup, status of each service/daemon is displayed as it starts up.
Everything seems to be modular.
Much improved hardware compatibility.
GNOME/Enlightenment installed without a hitch (as did everything else).
KDE was also installed although I haven't yet tried it (still toying with
configuring G/E.
This was the RH5.9 Beta from Cheapbytes.
This system:
ASUS P55T2P4 w/AMD K6-200
64MB ram
6.4GB IDE (/, /usr, /var as separate partitions)
1GB SCSI (/stuff - lots of source and misc files from previous)
S3 Vision 868 video
I reformatted the IDE drive for a new install but not the SCSI (didn't want
to lose those files).
WARNING!!! be very careful using Midnight Commander (GNU-X version) as
root, I screwed things up royal when I did that.
