There should be no problems at all, i have a friend who has one working, i
myself have a pci64v which uses es1371 no problems there either.
Make sure your you allow pci cards in your bios. (A thing which i overlooked
when i got my card, it would not work either).
A kernel should have;
CONFIG_SOUND=m
CONFIG_SOUND_ES1370=m
CONFIG_LOWLEVEL_SOUND=y
CONFIG_ACI_MIXER=m
CONFIG_AWE32_SYNTH=m
/sbin/modprobe es1370 (at boottime) or let kmod load it when its needed.
I belive the above should be enough to make it work.
