hi,

The iso file I am talking about is a image file I made from the redhat 6.0
files I downloaded. I can mount it and the file tree is healthy. I can
read and copy from it with no problem. Then I burned it to a cd-rom. I can
also mount that cd-rom and the file system is fine.

The cdrom I made is bootable. It booted. Unfortunately, the setup stoped at
the step when it try to mount it. [step: install from hard drive or local
cdrom]

Is there anything wrong with the files I downloaded? Nope, I've
successfully installed redhat6.0 with those files from the hard drive.

the commands I used:

mkisofs -v -r -T -J -V "redhat 6.0" -b images/boot.img -c boot.cat -o
/tmp/rh6.img .

cdrecord -v speed=2 dev=0,1,0 /tmp/rh6.img

What have I done wrong? Or what trick I missed?

Thanks for your attention. Any idea?

Best regards,

Weizhong

PS: Dont rush for rh6.0, if you have a working system. There is nothing new
to me in it.
