Hi,
I have recently installed Redhat 5.2 and compiled a new
kernel.
In my '/boot' directory I have the following files...

boot.b

initrd-2.0.36-0.7.img
map
module-info -> /boot/module-info-2.0.36-0.7
module-info-2.0.36-0.7

vmlinuz-2.0.36-0.7-old #old kernel
zImage #new kernel

These files have me a bit worried:
module-info-2.0.36-0.7
nitrd-2.0.36-0.7.img
System.map-2.0.36-0.7
they seem unchanged from my previous kernel.
everything seems to be working as before the upgrade.
Is this something to worry about?
