Around March of last year, I bought the CheapBytes linux 6-pack for $10
or so, plus $5 p&h. I reckoned if I had to pay $5 p&h, they might as
well post and handle more than 1 cd. :-) It consisted of slackware 3.4,
RedHat 5.0, Debian 1.3.1, and all of sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux except
distributions. It did _not_ include the stuff RedHat includes that is
not GPL, and it didn't include live, but apart from that, the distros
and archive are complete. A little dated now, and I would gladly have
paid another $2 for /pub/gnu, but I think it's a good deal. I am amazed
they can make a profit burning GPL CD's for $2 apiece, but the GPL says
they have every right to do it, and I have no reason to think they are
dishonest or shoddy. When I get to the point I can't get current enough
by ftpmail, I will look to Cheap Bytes again.
