Here's how (you have to do this as root):
# cd /etc/X11/wmconfig
# cp ical staroffice
# vi staroffice
(If you don't like vi, then use another editor... pico is easier for
starters if you're not familiar with linux)
here's what the file /etc/X11/wmconfig/ical has now:
ical name "Ical"
ical description "A Calendar Application"
ical icon datebook.xpm
ical exec "ical"
ical group Utilities/Misc
change it to look like this:
staroffice name "StarOffice"
staroffice description "Office Suite for Linux"
staroffice exec "/path/to/staroffice/here"
staroffice group "Utilities"
make sure that you DELETE the "ical icon" line... it doesn't belong in the
staroffice file. Also, put whatever you type in the computer to start
StarOffice in between quotations where it says /path/to/staroffice/here.
then, save the file, and restart X, and you're all set.
(in afterstep, you don't need to restart X, just find the option in the
"start" menu to reload the startmenu... but it's just easier to restart X.
