I had the same problem but it was coming from the permissions on the
files of the CDROM.
(the mirror i downloaded from had removed all the execute bits !!! and i
found many mirrors with the same problem
so i downloaded ls.lr from sunsite to get the good permissions ..)

hope this helps

Hi,

Downloaded the tree for RH6.0 from redhat.com, wrote it to cd, but I'm
experiencing problems as I cannot install it. After I choose cdrom as an
install method it doesnt do anything.... it could be the cd label (as the
original rh5.2 was "Red Hat Linux/i386 52", but the program I'm using to
write it doesn't let me use more than 11 chars as a label).

thanx
Kledi
