how about a list for real beginners like me
I know very little
ls lists files in directory
cp copies files
mv moves files or renames them
man gives help on a topic
mdir directory of a dos disk "mdir a:" no mounting nessasary
mcopy copy to a dos disk
df gives disk space used
mc directory manager
joe editor like DOS wordstar
vi editor like unix better than dos edlin (to quit = :q)
If one wants more then look up "ls --help or -h" for ls
and further details "man ls"
