Hi all

Does anyone know anything about the comps file in redhat. Does it tie back
to the hdlist file generated by genhdlist? Near as I can tell, genhdlist
generates a file containing all of the RPMS in your install tree with their
info so that when you press F1 it can tell you about that package. comps on
the other hand seems to be a list of all the install options and related
packages. It seems to contain all the dependency info and so on.

I'm trying to include KDE 1.1.1 (final) on my Redhat 6 cd's instead of
kde 1.1.1 pre2. The final does work quite fine with RH6 as long as you
uninstall pre2 first. When I edit my comps file and change the kde
items to refelect the names of the new packages, and I start an install
off of that tree the following happens. I choose KDE in the main app list.
I then say choose packages manually. At the bottom of my list is KDE. If I
press space bar or enter on it, I don't get the full list like I usually do.
It just puts a * in the block to say that it's installing that. I can't
choose my packages manually... Sadness :-(

Any ideas would be greatly Appreciated.

TIA
