Why did you compile them yourself ? I think (NB think implies lack of
certainty) most distros install binaries by default. If you download and
compile new programs then that would be source

In my estimation
1. Netscape cache files
2. The whole source directory, assuming you still have the tar delete
the entire directory after installing. If this will cause problems we
would be in the same boat.
