Peter,
I'd have to agree with you... there is a lot traffic on this list (very
good info!) and a digest would be a nice feature to have. One thing I did
that helps is to define a mailbox for this list in my mail program and
filter all incoming messages into the mailbox. Then I can skim the subject
lines and read the messages that interest me.
