I haven't been following this thread,
so pardon me if this has already been said.
Many PNP modems still have jumpers on the ISA Card,
The board should have the settings silk screened, it shouldn't be hard.
You need to set it to NON-P'n'P mode and assign it a hex address and IRQ
A couple more steps and we'll be through!
If the card is on 3f8 or 2f8, go into your PCs BIOS and disable COM 1 or 2.
Now when you boot your PC, it'll show the Hex address you set the card to.
That's it for the hardware part. Your on your own with the software end
:-) I hope the linux gurus here can finish the rest.
