I would recommend that you go to a local bookstore, and find a book on
Linux. Read the first few pages of the book in the store -- make sure
that it is for new users without a UNIX background. It will help you
wonders.
Or, you can do like I did... Don't get any books, don't look for HOWTOs,
and try to learn it on your own... hehehe.. I didn't know that there were
HOWTOs and mailing lists when I started with Linux :).
