If you have apache installed in /var/lib/httpd, you can find an overview of
the needed steps in /var/lib/httpd/README . It includes the Apache URL for
the manual. You should also have a copy of a version of the manual (though
possibly not the latest version) in /var/lib/httpd/htdocs/manual . If your
distribution uses a different path, just replace the /var/lib part with
whatever you have. To my surprise there apparently isn't an official HowTo.

How hard it is to set up apache depends on what you want it to do. For a
simple setup, just working your way through the files in
/var/lib/httpd/conf, then either starting apache (/usr/sbin/httpd on my
systems) by hand, or adding it to an rc file and rebooting, should get you
in business. For a more complicated setup .... well, it depends on the
details -- there is a mini-HowTo on one more complicated setup
(http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP/HOWTO/mini/Apache+SSL+PHP+fp.html), but I
haven't read it.

As to help, I (and, I'm sure, others on this list) can help by responding to
specific questions after you've read the materials I listed above and tried
to do a setup.
